There’s still time to RSVP!

Tomorrow, Thursday @ 5:30pm: 4th Anniversary Celebration! Celebrate, Reflect, and Chart the Path Ahead with Us!

We’d love to see you this Thursday. The policy shifts we’re expecting from last week’s federal US elections will cast a pall over our work into the indefinite future. It puts one in mind of the poem: “Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, … bring out the coffin, let the mourners come”. But, there is urgent work at hand. Our strength can be drawn from one another. Join us tomorrow, Thursday, November 13 from 5:30 to 8pm.

I leave you with these words from my own faith: “Joy cometh in the morning”.  “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”.

Let’s not keep justice, or DC kids, or our fellow DC residents and workers waiting. On Thursday, come alone, with a friend or colleague, and/or with your children. We welcome you and your heavy hearts so that we might renew one another. Our RSVP deadline for the event has been extended, here: bit.ly/DCGICFourth

See you Thursday!

In Solidarity,

Melody
