Fourth Anniversary Celebration and More!

Get Involved: Celebrate Guaranteed Income With Us!

As we gear up for Election Day next week, we remain committed to and excited for guaranteed income in Washington, DC. Regardless of the election outcome, our advocacy fight will carry on. We have so much in store as the year winds down. Whether you are new to guaranteed income, or returning after a break, please show up, and share out these opportunities to gather and to get involved:

  1. Community Conversations: On Sunday, December 8, at Edgewood Farms, the DC Guaranteed Income Coalition will launch its new initiative, Community Conversations. Anchoring the Conversations is the topic of economic justice through guaranteed income. We’re so excited for this storytelling platform that we’re having a celebratory meal with the host for December, our partners at ReDelicious. We’ll enjoy fresh food and a potluck of your favorite dishes; more details to come! Conversations are venues for engaging our neighbors, for pushing the moral mandate to achieve economic, health, and racial justice through no-strings-attached cash programs. Deploying the power of storytelling, our fellow DC workers and DC residents with lived experience will be centered at these gatherings.
  2. Host a Community Conversation event in your neighborhood and support guaranteed income! Your business, community center, or place of worship can provide the space, and we will supply the conversation. Contact us for more information.
  3. Book Club: We’re planning a Zoom-based book club. Volunteer as an organizer and help lead our initiative.
  4. Canvassing: Tabling at community events or at your local Metro station, as a canvass volunteer, you’ll educate the public while collecting petition signatures. Get trained as a canvasser to boost our advocacy campaigns.
  5. Ready to pitch in with any of the above? Contact us at events@dcgicoalition.org!
